Sherri Okinaga brings 30 years of business experience ranging from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups. She has enjoyed successful careers in corporate sales & marketing, customer service, project management, change management, product development, secondary education, organizational development and non-profit constituent management.
Sherri has blended her unique experiences in the private and non-profit sectors and academia to help organizations achieve targeted results. She is passionate about building collaborative partnerships with a focus on translating vision into action and measurable results.
Sherri serves as the Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness at First Hawaiian Bank overseeing human capital strategies, employee engagement, succession management, culture of collaboration initiatives, transformational change management and enterprise-wide leadership development. She led innovative strategies winning First Hawaiian Bank international recognition by the Association for Talent Development in 2018 and 2019, which was a first for Hawaii.
Sherri is a Pacific Century Fellow and volunteers on the Boards of the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business & Leadership and the Center for Tomorrow’s Leaders. Sherri enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and playing taiko drums with her twin sons who are college-bound freshmen.
