John Leong’s dedication to a resilient Hawai‘i drives his work in environmental entrepreneurship. He founded Pono Pacific Land Management, Hawai‘i's only private natural resource management company, providing conservation, sustainable energy, and agriculture services. In 2007, he co-founded Kupu, a non-profit fostering Hawai‘i’s future environmental stewards and leaders through youth programs in conservation and sustainability, impacting over 6,000 alumni and generating $200 million in socio-economic benefits. Leong's numerous accolades include Pacific Business News' Most Admired Leaders and the Obama Foundation Fellowship. He serves on the boards of Alexander and Baldwin, Island Insurance, Punahou Board of Trustees, University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant and is the Chair of the City and County of Honolulu Board of Parks and Recreation.
